Guest Speaker: Bob Bigando
Background of Speaker: Bob Bigando represents five generations of the Bigando family with deep roots in Globe, Arizona. His great-grandparents Gabe and Katy Bigando settled in Globe after arriving by stagecoach from Morenci in 1895. Bob’s first-hand experience in mining started with a summer job at Inspiration Consolidate Copper Company in 1966. He later joined Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, working in Morenci and Safford Operations as a Resource Analyst/Engineer, retiring in 2020.
